How can I become a supplier to the USA?

USA relies on the key stakeholders in our plants (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Chemistry, etc.) and on our USA teams to identify contract opportunities to pursue. When they do so, our supply chain team orchestrates a request for proposal (RFP) and selection process on their behalf. The suppliers listed on the website earned their agreements as a result of this competitive bid process. If you want your company to be considered during a future competitive bid process, please fill out the Become A Supplier form.

Please note that you do not have to have a USA agreement in place to do business with our individual members.

How do we get on USA's approved supplier list?

Many of our members maintain an approved suppliers list, which is a list of suppliers who are approved through a site process to do business with the site. These approved suppliers may or may not have an established contract with the site. USA, however, does not have a list of approved suppliers that meets this definition. Instead, USA has established fleet-wide agreements with a group of suppliers that provide benefit to our members. These agreements are put into place using USA's established procurement processes, the majority being established through the competitive bid process. USA also maintains a bidder's list, which is a simple list of the capabilities and contact information for suppliers who are interested in doing business with the Alliance on a fleet-wide basis. USA then consults this list when a new procurement opportunity arises and includes suppliers in the data base with the appropriate capabilities on the bid list. If you would like your company to be listed on the potential bidders list, please go to the Become a Supplier page.

I filled out the info on the Become a Supplier page. Why is my company not listed on the website?

The website listings are reserved for those suppliers who either a) help sponsor our annual Nuclear Generator and Supplier Executive Summit or b) have an fleet-wide agreement established with USA, Inc. When the "Become a Supplier" form is completed, the information is stored in a database of suppliers along with their services, products, and capabilities. USA consults this database whenever we are asked by our members to prepare a bid on a scope of work. The database is for USA internal use and is not published on the website.
