Interesting Facts
- Fermi 1, which is on the same site was the first commercial experimental fast breeder reactor
owned by a consortium of utilities and industrial companies. Initial Criticality August 23, 1963.
Final shutdown was on September 22, 1972.
- Longest run 317 days before shutdown for refueling outage 7 in April 2000.
