U.S. Congressman Don Norcross visited USA fleet member PSEG Nuclear’s Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations recently. As part of his visit, Congressman Norcross first toured the Energy & Environmental Resource Center (EERC) with Mike Tuosto, general manager of public affairs. He then met with PSEG Power President Bill Levis for a discussion on energy and nuclear power.

Led by Salem Plant Manager Larry Wagner, Congressman Norcross toured Salem including stops on the turbine deck and a visit to the control room. He also received a driving tour of the Protected Area where he learned more about our design basis and Fukushima implementation efforts. Congressman Norcross also had several questions about spent fuel and had an opportunity to see the dry cask storage area.

Most importantly, Congressman Norcross had the opportunity to meet several employees during his visit. Their enthusiasm and support made his visit a successful one.

Congressman Norcross represents New Jersey’s First Congressional District. He proudly serves on the House Armed Services and Budget Committees currently. Born and raised in South Jersey, he is an electrician by trade who also served as assistant business manager for Local 351 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and President of the Southern New Jersey AFL-CIO.
