The USA Performance Improvement Core Peer Team has developed a procedure for the fleet’s benchmarking practices.

For the past several months, the team has been incorporating best practices from each member site to create and refine the procedure. Its objective is to leverage the benchmarking action of a single station or members of a core peer team to drive fleet-wide performance improvements.

The procedure was distributed and discussed at the Core Peer Team Leaders’ Dec. 14 meeting in Minneapolis. To view the procedure, log on the USA website and visit the Performance Improvement pages. This fleet benchmarking procedure was developed to support the 2012 USA Business Plan action 1.11.3.

The USA Performance Improvement Core Peer Team is comprised of the following members: Kerry Colville, PSEG; Linda Dewhirst, Cooper; Charles England, Columbia; Vikram Gupta, Cook; Bill Mattingly, PSEG; Brian Obermeyer, Fort Calhoun; Fritz Possessky, PSEG; Tony Price, Susquehanna; Rick Puddu, Xcel; James Thorson, Fermi; John Windschill, Xcel; and Dave Topley, Xcel. Carla Martinez, Columbia, is the management council representative and Aldo Capristo, Xcel, is the site leadership team sponsor. John Christensen and Kevin Moles provide USA staff support for the team.
