Prairie Island’s Richard Adams has been named as the USA Site Representative/Corporate Functional Area Manager (CFAM) for Radiation Protection.

“I am very excited to bring my background to the new position of USA CFAM where I expect I’ll be able to foster team work between the RP programs at each of the sites,” said Adams “I look forward to supporting Prairie Island with the overall implementation and integration into the new USA fleet picture.”

Adams is a 24-year veteran of the nuclear industry with a degree in Health Physicist from Purdue University. Richard worked at five nuclear plants before becoming the Radiation Protection (RP) CFAM for Xcel Energy in 2014 where he was responsible for most of the professional roles and programs normally associated with Radiation Protection.
