USA fleet member Hope Creek announced that the National Nuclear Accrediting Board renewed the accreditation of its Operator training programs for the next four years. This renewal is indicative of the confidence the National Nuclear Accrediting Board has in Hope Creek’s ability to safely operate, maintain, and improve plant performance.

“Renewal of the Operations training programs is the reflection of the effective partnership between the station and training personnel. Maintaining this performance level will require the continued use of the corrective action program, self-assessments, operating experience, and the systematic approach to training principles. Sustainability is the cornerstone for maintaining accreditation for all training programs now and in the future,” said Hope Creek Vice President Paul Davison.

The accreditation board gave the team some valuable insights on continuing to identify and fix low level performance issues and how important it is to continually drive for excellence in Operational Focus.

“I am proud of our team’s presentation today which provided assurance that we are capable of maintaining training excellence. The INPO team recognized the synergy between our station, the line organization, and the strong commitment we have to our training processes and programs,” said Davison. “The teamwork demonstrated to achieve this well-deserved accreditation is exactly the behaviors that continue to drive our long-term goal for excellence.”
