The 2024 USA Supply Chain Winter Conference was a grand success! Charleston, SC was the gathering place in late January as one of our largest groups ever celebrated the opportunity to come together in person around our common passion for the nuclear industry. The weather cooperated too, as attendees were able to thaw out in 60-70 degree temperatures all week! In addition to a General Session rich in content relevant to attendees, there were meetings of our Advanced Remote Monitoring, Site Representative and Supply Chain Management teams as well as roughly 400 individual sessions for supplier value-concept presentations and “speed-dating” meetings between USA member utilities and supplier-partners. Attendees completed a “5-Voices” assessment and received a complimentary training session by USA Supplier-Partner Dan Deeble of Lost Ball Consulting to better understand their communication styles and receive tips for recognizing and honoring the “voices” of everyone around the table. In addition to all the work, there were numerous opportunities for networking and catching up over a meal, and even checking out a few of the local attractions! Survey data from the Conference was excellent with 92% of respondents saying the Conference was an “excellent” or “good value” for their investment of time and resources. We’ll be working hard to drive those numbers even higher in 2025 and hope to see you there!
