USA fleet member Comanche Peak successfully performed the biennial FEMA and NRC evaluated Hostile Based Action emergency exercise recently.

The scenario was challenging involving simulated mass casualties, large scale fire, significant equipment damage and a radiological release. Alternate facility activation and integration with the Incident Command Post was demonstrated. The federal, state, and local governments participated.

As with any exercise or drill, areas were identified where performance can be improved. Critique items are being gathered, and a management debrief will be held as well.
