Comanche Peak Unit 1 completed a breaker-to-breaker run and began its 18th refueling outage May 7emphasizing safety, quality and then schedule, within 30 days, 3 hours.
“Comanche Peak had no challenges to their nuclear safety event goal and successfully met the radiological safety superior site target dose goal of 36 REM,” said Doug Davis, USA Maintenance CFAM, Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant.
USA team members from Fermi, Prairie Island, Wolf Creek, STP and Palo Verde nuclear plants supplied Instrumentation & Controls technicians, welders, machinists, Radiation Protection technicians, electricians, Quality control inspectors, mechanics and riggers.
