In April, USA fleet member Comanche Peak reached a WANO/INPO Performance indicator milestone. Both units achieved 100 points, a perfect score, based upon equipment reliability and human performance over the previous 18 months.

The PI Index measures 11 key indicators that reflect overall performance of the station and units. The index is calculated using a combination of WANO and INPO performance indicators with values between 0 and 100. The indicators are compiled, scored and tracked over an 18 month rolling average.

Comanche Peak’s performance was perfect for the prior 18 months. Currently, only 18 other units have a score of 100 and the current industry median value is 94.4.
