In December, Columbia Generating Station sent more megawatt-hours of electricity to the grid than in any month since its startup 31 years ago: 859,619 megawatt-hours of net generation.

“This is a reflection of the hard work by the Columbia team to focus on equipment reliability; maintaining equipment backlogs within industry top quartile; and the implementation of modifications to improve plant generation. All are directly responsible for this achievement,” said Brad Sawatzke, chief operating officer.

Columbia set the previous record in October 1998, with more than 856,000 MWhrs of net generation.
