In December 2016, Utilities Service Alliance (USA) announced new membership levels and benefits based on member feedback. As a culmination of these changes, USA Efficiency team members (Class C members) were recently invited to participate on monthly team networking teleconferences. Current membership benefits are noted below:

As John Christensen, USA President & CEO (Acting) noted, “Our networking teams focus on sharing lessons learned, supporting each other, benchmarking and continuous improvement. This is core business. The more people at the table, the better off we’ll all be in supporting and improving the USA fleet.”

Attendance on team calls and use of the jump-up call module is strictly voluntary for Efficiency Members.

Mark Mjaatvedt, USA Manager – Projects, Programs & Teams, reached out to all Efficiency Members from each networking team and followed up with Outlook invites.

Christensen notes, “I’ve heard from some of the newest efficiency class team members that they think they are no longer members of USA at all. That couldn’t be further from the truth, and in fact, more benefits are available to you now than we have ever had in the past. When you get your Outlook invite from Mark, don’t just delete it. We are anxious to have you on the calls and we know that all members will see benefit as we gain from everyone’s input and knowledge.”

USA is an alliance comprising four Full Member utilities operating nuclear power stations including Columbia Generating Station, Comanche Peak, Susquehanna Nuclear and the South Texas Project, and four Efficiency Member utilities operating Fermi, Monticello, Prairie Island, Cooper and Cook nuclear stations. Combined, our Full Member stations generate more than 8,800 megawatts of energy. In addition to administering a network of more than 60 nuclear suppliers, USA helps its members leverage their combined resources, talent and expertise to serve their customers with clean, safe, reliable and cost-efficient energy.
