Victory Media recognized USA fleet member Energy Northwest for its hiring practices and career path opportunities, workforce diversity in STEM positions and outreach to, and alignment with, STEM education programs. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.

The 2016 STEM Jobs-Approved Employers list rates companies on their responsiveness to creating and filling high-demand, high-growth STEM occupations. Energy Northwest ranks among the nation’s top five STEM jobs-approved employers, according to Victory Media.

“Energy Northwest is committed to inspiring and supporting the next generation of students who will develop the technologies of tomorrow to create the jobs of the future,” said Kelley Ferrantelli, EN recruiter. “We continue to support strong partnerships in our community to help improve pathways to STEM education and careers.”

Victory Media, a veteran-run organization, named EN a Military Friendly Employer last year based on the strength of its military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs for veterans and agency policies on National Guard and Reserve service.

Other companies recognized include BP, Exelon and Amazon. The complete list is available at http://stemjobs.com/sja/employers.
