Two guests from Spain representing Spanish utility Endesa benchmarked at USA fleet members Prairie Island and Monticello in August. Jesús Añorbe Rodriguez and Ramón María María spent a few days at both stations interacting with plant operations’ staff to learn and share expertise.

Both men were complimentary about the welcome they received and the free flow of information shared with them.

Mike Philippon, Fermi Plant Manager was at Monticello during their visit as part of a USA Management Review Meeting (MRM). Afterward, Philippon joined Director of Site Operations Pete Gardner at the station’s monthly recognition luncheon.

“Mike’s general observations were that he likes the direction we’re going and the actions we have put in place to improve performance. He also recognized the energy at the MRM and is looking forward to learning more about our plants,” Gardner said.
