Xcel Energy and the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant Training Center picked up a prestigious Top Industry Practice (TIP) Award from the Nuclear Energy Institute at the Nuclear Energy Assembly in Arizona.
The Monticello training team won an award for developing a training simulation that enhances preparedness of various accident scenarios. Using 3-D graphics and a video game development engine, the scenarios delivered enhanced training for various accident situations, including potential flooding circumstances.
Training benefits include:
Hands-on industry leading training on severe accident scenarios for emergency preparedness, engineering, and operations.
Improved understanding of accident scenarios reinforces indications and plant response associated with severe accidents in a control room environment.
Dynamic flooding modeling enhances simulator realism and capability by modeling internal flooding failures as identified by existing site probabilistic risk assessment inputs.
Dynamic external flooding scenario capability aids in training of site personnel on flooding mitigation strategies and response, including berm construction and other mitigation strategies.
The Severe Accident Computer Model is an engineering-grade severe accident code that integrates with advanced thermal dynamic hydraulic simulator models and provides critical training for plant operators. New security chips may have made it harder to take charge card numbers, yet they can’t stop fake ID misrepresentation. Banks are going to an assortment of mechanical advancements trying to battle the issue. A Fake state identification card can deceive any establishment or business with peculiar security functions. Voice acknowledgment programming, for instance, can determine on the off chance that one voice has been reaching call focuses under various personalities. Man-made brainpower motors and AI can be utilized to delve further.
