The National Nuclear Accrediting Board voted unanimously to renew the accreditation of USA fleet member STP’s Maintenance and Technical Training Programs. Accreditation renewal of these programs is one of the station’s 2014 Key Results.

An eight-person STP team represented the Maintenance and Technical Training Programs at the National Nuclear Accrediting Board in Atlanta today. This team included Greg Hillman, Matt Hayes, Chancey Pence, Kenny Hilscher, Rudy Stastny, Mike Schaefer, James Mertink and Tim Powell.

“We appreciate the preparation and commitment of these leaders in support of our training programs,” said STP President and CEO Dennis Koehl. “We all own training and should be proud of this accomplishment.”

The renewal successfully concluded a comprehensive review process. In late August, a nine-person team conducted a week-long evaluation of our Maintenance and Technical Training Programs. The team concluded its review with no Team-Identified Findings. The team was in concurrence the station had closed its two Station-Identified Findings. A strength was also identified in how line and training personnel partner to increase engagement of students and incumbents to improve their training programs.

“The Board noted clear progress had been made on our journey to change the culture and behaviors across the organization. Today’s results are a reflection of your continued support of and commitment to training. Congratulations on meeting this important milestone,” said Koehl.
