Prairie Island recently hosted six industry peers through its partnership with the Utilities Services Alliance fleet shared resources program. Arriving in September from the Columbia, Cooper, Cook and Susquehanna stations, the workers were in familiar territory in the radiation protection, mechanical maintenance and I&C maintenance shops.

With sincere appreciation, Prairie Island bid farewell to workers from other nuclear plants in the USA fleet. “Prairie Island definitely appreciates the work they bring and the sacrifice they make to come and assist us with the outage,” Scott Sharp said to the gentlemen.

The workers indicated that they appreciated the opportunity to see and work at Prairie Island and experience the Midwest during their time here.

The shared resources program provides USA members a cost savings by reducing operating and maintenance costs.
