We launched the USA Innovation Hub in July with a campaign to prioritize the most important issues facing our plants and industry. The turnout was excellent with many good comments and useful suggestions. In September, the USA Innovation Hub hosted the first fleet wide campaign looking for solutions to the problems of Knowledge Transfer, Retention and Retrieval in our industry. We had good participation from a number of plants and several good ideas and solutions were generated.
In December, we will initiate a challenge campaign that tackles some of the issues we all face in hiring, training and retaining plant operators. This campaign will run through January of 2024. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to solicit ideas on how to establish a sustainable talent pipeline that ensures the continued safe operation of our plants while improving the working conditions for the personnel involved. We are seeking practical, innovative, and implementable ideas that align with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
Innovation is one of our industry’s priorities, aimed at fostering more effective and efficient plant operation. We challenge our staffs to continuously improve—to be better today than we were yesterday.
